Specifically, it is the Acer Iconia Tab 8 A1-840 (FHD without suffix) and the Acer Iconia Tab 8 A1-841.The two devices are almost identical as far as their basic facilities and the display. So both have an 8-inch IPS display with 1280 × 800 pixels resolution, each have 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal flash memory (with expandability via microSD), N-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS on board. In addition, both models have each a 2-megapixel camera on the front and a 5-megapixel camera on the back and have a 4600mAh battery-making. The weight is at 360 grams each.
The difference, however, is something else, namely the platform and the additional 3G support when A1-841. While the Acer Iconia Tab is 8 A1-840 with the new Intel Atom Z3735G and his four 1.33 gigahertz x86 cores that can shift up to 1.83 GHz, equipped, is in the Acer Iconia Tab 8 A1-841 a MediaTek MT8389 ARM SoC clocked to 1.7 GHz with four cores. The chip does have a total of probably significantly less power than the Atom, but offers at least a 3G module.
With the Atom-based device Acer will probably the cheapest new Android oppose -Tablets from ASUS, while the ARM model for customers should be interesting, looking for little money a tablet with 3G support. Price is what the Acer Iconia Tab los 8 A1-840 with Atom processor probably at around € 140, while for the Acer Iconia Tab 8 A1-841 probably around 190 Euros will be due with 3G. The official presentation of the new models as it so often, but is expected to go either just before the IFA 2014 or in time for the exhibition on the stage.
