QNAP has announced its new family of Turbo NAS TS-563 , equipped with quad-core AMD processors 2 GHz and which can be installed up to 16 GB of RAM . It is a NAS of 5-bay high-performance connectivity and integrated10GbE LAN , specially designed for businesses and professionals who need a powerful and inexpensive solution storage.

The QNAP TS-563 supports up to five hard drives SATA 3 3.5 / 2.5 inches, and even solid state devices. And if five drive bays are not enough support installing expansion QNAP devices, supporting up to a total of 21 hard drives with a maximum total capacity of 105 Tb.It incorporates as we said an AMD 64-bit processor and 4 cores running at 2GHz, allowing to perform video transcoding in real time. Start QNAP sells two variants of this NAS, one with 2 GB of RAM and one with 8 GB, although both are expandable to 16 GB of DDR3 time in total. It also has two network cards that allow configuration 10GbE Link Aggregation (for having 2 Gbps effective bandwidth) and five USB 3.0 ports, being able to copy the front contents on the NAS with the push of a button.

Thanks to the AMD-V technology, the QNAP TS-563 is capable of operating multiple virtual machines simultaneously and with different operating systems such as Windows, Linux and even Android. And thanks to the application of QNAP Virtualization Station you can create various snapshots of virtual machines and also allows creation of LUNs to integrate the NAS infrastructure already configured VMWare or Hyper-V.
For now QNAP has not specified neither the price nor the date of disposal of this TS-563.
