Coast $ 149 , but in the coming weeks Intel will introduce even the cheapest version with Linux , 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage at a price of $ 89 . So what are the future plans for Compute Stick? According to a roadmap released by omglaptop.com here are the specifications and release date of Cedar City and Fall City.

Intel Cedar City Falls City 2 release date

Cedar City (Compute Stick with Intel Core M in 2015)
by the end of the year, Santa Clara will launch the first Compute Stick with Intel Core M. We knew it was coming , but we did not imagine that the next generation of key (name code "Cedar City") would have many important improvements. It will be equipped with an Intel Broadwell low power, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage SATA, USB 3.0, WiFi 802.11ac, support for 4K video and MHL. The latter function indicates that the model Cedar City can be powered directly from the HDMI port when connected to the TV, but only if your TV supports MHL. It will not be necessary, therefore, to use a separate USB micro cable for charging.
Compute this Stick will be available only in the Windows version but, if you wish, you can install Ubuntu or other operating systems GNU / Linux without too much trouble.

Falls City 2 (Compute Stick with Intel Atom Broxton in 2016)
In early 2016, Intel will launch models "Falls City 2," which will replace the present Compute Stick (in fact codenamed Falls City). These TV Stick will feature an Intel Atom "Broxton", so who was stalling pending Compute Stick with Intel chips Cherry Trail will remain dry. Santa Clara has decided to implement on its Intel Atom CPU, which will follow the current generation Cherry Trail but that does not mean we will not see keys with Atom x3 / x5 / x7, because manufacturers will be free to install these CPUs in their computers. Intel, however, seems to get out.

Falls City 2 should offer better performance than current Compute Stick: will have USB 3.0 ports for fast data transfer, support MHL and 4K video playback, thanks to the improved graphics. Also these models will be available with Windows and Linux. The Linux version will still have 1GB of RAM and 8GB eMMC storage, while the Windows version will have 2GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage.
