Minix Z series review

Last year the Chinese house Minix had launched its first mini-PC X86 Intel Bay Trail. It was called Minix Z64 , it was available in two configurations, with Android and Windows 10, and it was a real success. To attract users was especially the version with Windows because it was one of the first mini-PC Wintel to reach the market.

Minix Z series review: The Specifications

The components are housed in a cast alloy body and square shape, thin profile and very rounded edges, with the typical style of Minix. The chassis has black color and on its flanks bordering 3 USB 3.0, digital video outputs HDMI and mini-DisplayPort, an RJ45 Ethernet LAN, a mini-jack combo and a SPDIF as well as two external antenna connectors.

The operating system is Windows 10 in 64bit which will use these desktop miniature not only as a TV box from the living room but also for business or personal productivity for the study. Clearly, these machines the most comprehensive and versatile than conventional mini-PC Android as demonstrated by the data on the memory and storage capacity. Like the TV-box Android, also, the new Z will Minix fanless , fanless, ensuring a total acoustic comfort and low noise.

Minix Z series review: Powered by Pentium and Celeron processors

This year Minix try to double the success by announcing two new mini-PC Intel-based . Fall in both series Minix Z and mount the latest processors Braswell Intel Pentium N3150 and Celeron N3700 , accompanied by up to 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. The new processors Braswell demonstrate a significant progress in relation to their consumption and performance, especially in multimedia because they integrate a new GPU Gen8-LP and a video processing unit capable of decoding the compressed HEVC.

New Minix Z-series hit the market by Christmas 2015, and we hope to be able to give more information shortly.
