Acer Iconia A1-840 Review

The Android tablet with Intel chips Bay Trail have been announced by Intel several times, but until now only Chinese companies have submitted their offer of devices (comes to mind Onda and Teclast ), and no high-tech giant unveiled its projects. The first clues, however, lead us from Acer .

The Taiwanese company has dealt with in recent times especially in the midrange and low-end segment of the tablet market. Introduced at CES 2014 a new Iconia B1-720 , 7-inch Mediatek processor, and a Iconia A1-830 by 7.9-inch dual-core CPU Intel Atom Z2560. Thanks to the careful colleague TabletsMagazine discover the existence of an unpublished Acer Iconia A1-840, in the results of the benchmark GFXBench . This model could be the successor dell’Iconia A1-830, but what is most surprising (according to data of the test) is the integration of a quad-core Intel Bay Trail, Atom Z3745 1.8GHz .

The tablet Acer should have a diagonal of 8 inches (maybe even by 7.9 inches) with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels , 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel front. Do not miss a Bluetooth module, GPS and WiFi, in addition to the expected operating system Android 4.4.2 KitKat .

We wish to clarify that the Acer Iconia A1-840 has not yet been officially announced, but we remind you that at the end of April, the Taiwanese manufacturer will hold a press conference in which probably will present this and other devices, with both Android and Windows 8.
