Intel Atom Z3740 Z3740D Z3770 Z3770D S1260 S1240 S1220 Discontinued

Intel is going to retire Atom S1200 microserver processors, and the first Z3700 systems-on-a-chip for tablets. The list of affected models includes Atom S1260, S1240 and S1220, as well as Atom Z3740, Z3740D, Z3770 and Z3770D. All of soon to be discontinued Atoms are based on the Silvermont architecture and manufactured on 22nm technology, however all of them use earlier core steppings B1, B2 or B3. As we already reported, upcoming Atom Z37x5 will have the cores upgraded to stepping C0, and embedded "Silvermont" chips will be converted to D0 stepping. The C0 stepping will enhance robustness of the integrated USB controller, and the D0 stepping will fix a Power-On Reset Sequence failure.
